Padang Bai Tour

This tour is the perfect combination of secluded beach time and cultural insight.

We leave Tanah Merah Art Resort after breakfast. Unless you are touring on a Sunday, our first stop is near Klungkung town to see the Nyoman Gunarsa Museum, named after one of Indonesia’s most famous living contemporary artists. His unique and colorful paintings illustrate the richness of Balinese dance culture, Hindu legends, and traditional ceremonies. The museum also exhibits a large collection of Balinese antiques.

Then we stop to witness an extraordinary phenomenon at the Pura Goa Lawah temple or the Bat Cave Temple near the beach of Kusamba. The temple complex is built around an ancient bat cave opening where hundreds of thousands of noisy bats are packed closely together. Be prepared for the overpowering odor of their droppings. The Goa Lawah Temple is one of Bali’s most important temples, and it is believed that a lava tube in the cave leads all the way up to the Hindu mother temple Pura Besakih on mount Agung

After a scenic drive to Padang Bai we walk down a forest path to the White Beach Laguna for a relaxing time on the beach with plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling to see the amazing undersea life. White beach Laguna is a beautiful and serene beach secluded from the rest of Padang Bai. Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch on the beach with fresh seafood before returning to Padang Bai for a refreshing cup of coffee while watching the fishermen in their colorful boats or shopping at the many small stalls. We then drive back to Tanah Merah Art Resort so you can relax at our poolside as the sun sets.

We provide sarongs for the temple and beach towels. Remember to bring your sunscreen, bathing suit and camera.
