Baik means “good” in Balinese, and this downhill bicycle tour is guaranteed to be a memorable adventure for those seeking to explore the Balinese countryside and rural life.

You will be picked up at Tanah Merah Art Resort in the morning and will enjoy a scenic drive up towards mount Batur. As the road steadily rises through towns and villages, nothing in the surrounding landscape suggests the presence of a live volcano. The final ascent leads to a dizzying panorama at Penelokan, or Viewing Place, encompassing Batur’s immense crater with the huge lake Batur and an active volcanic cone inside. After a short drive along the crater rim to Kintamani, we will enjoy our breakfast at a small and cozy restaurant.

The bike tour begins after breakfast, and we start out by cycling gently downhill through the peaceful and lush country side on quiet back roads for the next two and a half hours. Feel free to stop for photos anytime. We will visit with the rural people to discover details about their village, family life, farming, and ceremonies. We end our cycling adventure by enjoying a real Balinese feast of delicious chicken, smoked duck, and mixed vegetables at a family house before being transported back to Tanah Merah Art Resort for a well-deserved rest.
